Calanda Hut SAC

Chur's local mountain towers majestically above Chur. At 2073m above sea level, the SAC hut offers breathtaking views. The hut has fully retained its simplicity and authenticity. The Calanda hut has two dormitories with a total of 29 sleeping places (8/21). The hut is not only the starting point for ascents of the Calanda peaks or for high-altitude hikes on both sides, it is also popular for unforgettable group events and private parties. 

How to get there

The hut can be reached on foot or by (e)-mountain bike from Haldenstein. Or via the shortened approach via the Vazer Alp, which can be reached by car. Please note that a driving permit is required. The permit can be easily obtained by cell phone (Parkingpay) or from the municipality of Untervaz and at weekends from any Untervaz restaurant. 

It is advisable to book the hut in good time. The hut is closed in winter.
