"From the minute we walked in the front door, to the room, the breakfast, and departure - this was truly excellent experience. Everything about the room was lovely. The chocolate bars on departure were a sweet surprise. Being directly across the street from the train station was a super benefit. And Old Town and the beautiful Christmas decorations were right around the corner. Staff was profession and so very friendly."

"Upon arrival we stood for a very long time. We waited in a crowded area with all ours and others luggage. The checkin was smooth and offered us a bus pass for 1 person. We are a party of 2. We would/could not use the pass anyway. Our room was pleasant. Not fancy very basic for a steep price fir a night. No shampoo or conditioner was offered. The included breakfast offered varied choices. It seemed to fit the needs of anyone. The staff was not friendly or welcoming AT ALL! After a long wait a woman came to the table to inquire about coffee requests. I ordered a cup of coffee. I waited and waited and it wasn’t delivered. I asked the man working and he snapped at me “did you order it”. He seemed very annoyed to have to wait on me. I ordered a coffee with cream (milk). Again I waited for awhile but a coffee was delivered. No milk! I had to flag him down again for the milk. Again I waited while he cleared tables. The woman just seemed to wander aimlessly around the dining room. I got a few sips of the coffee and it was horrible. I just left. I checked out and was hit with a 5.40 charge explained as city fees. This was not the best experience in my travels. I would recommend the hotel for only overnight guests to get on the Bernina Express. No longer stays in the city. Not welcoming or friendly enough to stay longer."

"The ABC Swiss Quality Hotel was a wonderful hotel to stay at, the location was extremely convenient for Chur railway station, and in close proximity to the shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean, with all amenities provided. "Step out of the train station, cross the street and it is less than half a block to your left. Clean, Nina at reception was very kind and helpful. Rooms pristine. Had dinner at Rathaus less than a block away. Great food and lovely. Decor is sleek, black and greys. Breakfast was Wonderful. Great book of sites and information Recommend to all. Very central."

"Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent breakfast, large and clean room. Only comment would be that the room was very warm (24 - 25 degs) and had to open the aircon, which is not very sustainable and felt a waste. Otherwise would stay again and it was a great hotel for a work trip."

"My wife and I travelled the Bernina Express from Italy to Chur. Switzerland. Upon arriving, the hotel was a short 4 minute walk away. Check in was quick and our room was perfect. "I would recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying overnight in Chur or longer. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station, very conveniently located. Super clean, room is spacious, nicely decorated, quiet, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, shower is so relaxing and best of all, their bedding and mattress are unbelievably comfortable, I woke up feeling great after a journey of 24+ hours. The bed alone is totally worth the stay. I hope to come back one day."

"We stopped over for one night only in Chur, using that as our starting point for the Bernina Express. The town is charming, and we enjoyed our afternoon. The hotel is very convenient to the train station. Don't expect views from the hotel or large beautiful common spaces, but you will find the location to be very convenient to the old town, very easily walked. And the train station is right across the street. Excellent breakfast was a very pleasant surprise."

"I picked the hotel for its location as was only in town for 1 night before the Bernina Express. My secondary reason was that it has a gym - big mistake as the gym was almost unuseable as had no air conditioning and was attached to the spa so it was very hot with no windows either. The staff at breakfast were a highlight (the gentleman especially) so this was a nice start to my day. Good water pressure in the shower too."

"Front Desk staff were very professional. They managed to stay calm and polite despite the pressure of being alone with numerous guests checking in and out. We requested for an early check in but to no avail. After a long wait, we finally had our Room 206, a very spacious modern room! The modern bath tub (with a sliding seat) gave us the opportunity to cool down under the nice shower! The breakfast is so Northern Swiss, modest in quantity but every pc of food is of excellent good quality!! Glad to have picked this hotel despite the price:) !!! Oh the short distance from the train station is a very positive point too!"

"Had a great stay at Chur ABC. Staff were very helpful efficient and friendly. The rooms we had were great. Very clean, plenty of space and good storage for clothes etc. Bathroom was excellent (could have done with some shampoo too please) Loved the options for coffee, duvets and pillows plus quick checkout - all ordered before we arrived. Close to station but definitely not noisy. Breakfast was good. Would recommend"

It was booked through our travel agent and we assumed it was because of the proximity to the station and the town of Chur, but we were pleased also with the comfortable accommodations.
