"Great room and location however:- No USB charge points in the room 1 European socket, all others are Swiss configuration and being recessed doesn’t allow travel plugs to interface Hotel restaurant franchised and reservations difficult to obtain. This coupled with no room service meant that residents were unable to get an evening meal. We saw two couples being directed to restaurants in town due to no a space in the restaurant. I don’t think this is acceptable for a 4 star hotel. As a veteran business traveller, the last thing you want to do at the end of a long day is go looking for supper."

"Arrived late and immediately relaxed thanks to the warm friendly welcome. Car parking is perfect, and direct Shopping Center access highly convenient. "I found this hotel to have very friendly staff at reception for check in and out. The rooms are immaculate and clean and the room on the corner view was worth the upgrade. The room was very modern and well decorated and the bed was a dream to sleep in. Grateful for the Nespresso machine in the room as well!! It was only a quick bus stop or 20 minute walk to the event we of Chur which was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The receptionist who welcomed us was excellent and the hotel is perfectly located for public transport and also right above a mall. The only downsides were that the restauarant was not in service and heating in the room was only controllable to +/-1.5 degrees. In winter that is certainly not enough for us. "We had a lovely vely one night stay. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They provided a transport pass for our stay, which allowed us to travel into the main centre and explore the town. I wish this pass had been provided prior to our arrival with guidance on how to reach the hotel from the station, especially as the bus stops directly outside the station and the hotel. Instead, we paid a ridiculous amount for a very short taxi ride."

"We stayed 2 nights in Dec. hotel rooms were large and clean. Breakfast buffet seemed expensive but was plentiful. Hotel staff were very helpful. The location is in a commercial area and a 20+ minute walk to the Old Town. There were a few restaurants close by (and the hotel is connected to a shopping mall with a grocery store). Overall nice place to stay, location wasn’t great, hotel could use an interior repaint, but was clean. If you are staying in Chur make sure to make dinner reservations, we struggled to find places that would take us without a reservation."

"We have made a reservation already a long time ago and got impression that the name of the hotel was changed recently. Luckily we are flexible and thus enjoyed our two nights stay in Chur West Mercury hotel. We had a very nice and clean room in 9th floor with a lovely mountain view to to direction. The room itself was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast in the second floor restaurant was good and we were more than happy to enjoy all the fresh items available there. "Our room had an amazing view of the mountains through huge windows on two sides of the room. The room was spacious with a large bed (two duvets), and the large bathroom had a luxurious walk-in shower. I was also impressed with how quiet and dark the room was at night due to the thick windows, exterior shutters, and thick curtains. Unfortunately, the a/c unit, while definitely helpful, did not entirely cool the bedroom. The breakfast buffet was a really good spread and the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is attached to a mall that has a full coop, but the hotel is not as close to the old town and the train station as we would have liked."

"Both front desk and breakfast place staff are kind and helpful. However my trip taxi from chur station to hotel was terrible, being cheated. While Taxi driver picked three of us at Chur Station, he stared fare meter without telling us total fare needed. Until we arrived Mercure hotel, he demanded CHF20 with no ground and without referring fare meter. Though we all negotiated at hotel desk with taxi driver, we were told private taxi driver can charge whatever they demand. We are ok if the taxi driver told us beforehand even at CHF20, the bad feeling is being cheated pretending to refer fare meter. I do not recommend Chur to my friends at all. But Mercure Chur City West is a good, cosy hotel to stay. With Regards Alex"

"Aircon was so noisy… and really hard to stop. Outside there was heavy constructions for the entire night… extremely noisy and disturbing. Probably the worst. Night I ever spent in an hotel because of heat, noisy and lack of air. Too bad I did get an upgrade in spite of my membership particularly since the hotel was almost empty! Would not have cost anything to hotel but could have made a big difference to me. Restaurant close because of holidays.. and could not even take a drink there. We had to stay on the sidewalk in front of building… for a welcome drink. I have seen much better! Not sure u will go again even it it was my fifth visit there, I was expecting much better service and special treatment!"

"I give good only because there are 2 days out of 5 days stayed in total was disappointed There were 2 days, I didn't request for room service but when I came back in evening to request for bottles of water at the front counter, I was disappointed by the staff. She said only a bottle per room, but my room is 3pax(my booking stated) and supposed to replace 3 new bottles each day during room service. The answer given was unacceptable."

"I experienced a much better experience at Mercure Milano hotel than at Mercure Chur hotel. First of all the clean of the room could be much better and secondly it was strange receive the earplugs because of the noise coming from nearby buildings, but in fact the noise comes from staff people cleaning the space at the room door. Surprise very positive it was the restaurant (very good restaurant) with a Portuguese chef (Sr. António)."

"We were just over-fighting before catching the Bernina Express and the Mercure was close to town, clean and comfortable. It was a shame there was no room service offered but the staff were helpful in recommending somewhere to eat."

"We chose the Mercure Chur City West due to its proximity to our rental car agency drop off point and the train station. Of course, the rooms were good quality as well. We were greeted with a welcome drink, won one more! The sleep was restful, the breakfast was satisfying and the staff was excellent. We would definitely recommend staying for a stop-over."

"Nice accomodation in Chur. Although it is not located in the Chur city centre, the hotel is easy to access by local bus network. Nice staff with good smile and friendly attitude. The room is spacious with execellent view. It would be better if there is a kettle provided in the room."

"Nice view from the room. Nice room as shown in photos. Very nice touch the card to use on the buses to and from the center of Chur. Convenient the fact that there is a super market below the hotel at the shopping center to buy extra water and other supplies."
