"After seven day trip across parts of France, Italy and Switzerland, my last leg of the journey took me to Chur for two nights. Tired and hungry after a mega journey on the Bernina express from Torino via St Moritz for four hours, I was welcomed warmly at reception by Elia. He chatted about my day and gave me a lot of information about restaurants and things to do, taking time to explain on the map he provided, this included a suggestion of cable car in the city I was in a single room 402, it was the best accommodation of the trip, the room was warm, clean, tidy and had everything I needed. Plus points. Plenty of storage. TV with bracket on arm to watch in bed. Really comfortable bed with fresh duvet. Robes and slippers at reception. Spa area at level -1. Powerful shower and lovely bathroom products. Railway station just across the road Espresso machine. Breakfast plentiful with lots of choice. Really nothing to dislike, at a push some of the English channels didn’t work on TV but not a complaint, others were fine. One suggestion for solo room, instead of a small table, perhaps luggage rack I couldn’t recommend highly enough."

"We stayed in the family suite as a family of 4 and the room is perfect. I like how the design of the room is so well thought of. Simple things like having a place to put amenities inside the shower room. Having space to place toiletries in the bath room. Even the control of the lights is made really easy where you can just have all the lights switched off all at once. I love their coffee machine because it dispenses hot water as I never dare use water kettles in hotel rooms. Staff at reception and at breakfast were super friendly too. Would definitely stay here if we get to visit beautiful Chur again."

"I stayed in your hotel for, unfortunately, only a night . The room was above and beyond expectations: first class coffee maker, mini bar, safe, ironing board...the list goes on. Everyone was super helpful and they replied to my email within a very short time. The included breakfast was a treat. The room was spacious and comfortable. Compared to other hotels, check-out is very late which allows for a relaxed morning. I have recommended the hotel to friends and family and hope to be back again soon!!"

"The hotel resembles a converted office block on the inside and our room reminded us of a private hospital ward, clinical and without charm. There was an unpleasant odour in the shower room. There was no security feature on the bathroom window so it opened fully, despite being on the 4th floor. The staff were all extremely nice and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good with an excellent choice. So in short, people great, building not great."

They didn't wash our towels every day as requested - often find hotels have this policy but don't adhere to it. Good supply of toiletries. The fitness room and steambath were both very nice. Our only complaint but this seems to be common in most of the hotels we experienced in Europe is there was no ice bucket in the room so if you wanted ice you had to go to the front desk to get it. They were always very gracious though and readily provided it. Both my husband and would recommend this hotel in Chur, Switzerland."

"Although it rained hard for three of the four days of my stay, I enjoyed myself in spite of the weather. The front staff offered suggestions of where to go - museums, etc. which was much appreciated. But the hotel itself became my "destination" in Chur. I explored the amenities of my comfortable room, with its intriguing lighting design, spacious room, 5th floor balcony view of the Weisshorn, even a bedside clock that projected to the ceiling! I also made good use of the excellent fitness room, the spa steam room and sauna several times. In addition, the breakfasts were outstanding, including the foods that I like to have in the morning. Upon arrival, the front desk staff person went out of his way to find a light weight sheet for me to use instead of the thick coverlet on the bed. I had friendly, efficient service from all the staff throughout my stay. Incidentally, I stayed at this hotel 53 years ago and was amazed to see the changes. Perhaps I won't wait another 53 years to return!"

"The location is excellent, a very short walk from the station. The welcome from Saran was warm and friendly. She gave us lots of information about the hotel and the location and dealt with any questions putting us at ease for our first visit to Chur. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern with every need catered for. Although i didn’t use it I particularly liked that the mini bar prices weren’t inflated and the TV guide showing the channels for different languages was a nice touch. Not only is the location excellent for the station it’s also very convenient and within easy walking distance of everything that Chur has to offer, including the Altstadt, cable car, restaurants, cafes, shopping and transport. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well with no noise even though it is close to the station. Breakfast was excellent; friendly and attentive staff and a lovely selection of food and drink including some local specialties. Unfortunately I’ve forgotten the name of the gentleman who checked us out but like Sarah he was friendly and helpful. I mentioned that I’d possibly damaged something in my room and I was happy to pay for it. He said it would be checked and not to worry. We left our bags at the hotel to do a bit of final sightseeing, when he returned he told me everything was ok and the item had been fixed at no charge, putting my mind at ease. I wish I’d been able to stay for longer but I will be back! I highly recommend the ABC to anyone visiting Chur or the surrounding area."
